The mounted high-speed planter Tempo V is available with 6 to 12 row units, including odd numbers. The ability to use the same machine for multiple crops often means that two traditional planters can be replaced. This increases usage and lower the hectare costs. In combination with the front hopper FH 2200, Tempo V is able to combi-drill fertiliser at high speed.
Väderstad Tempo is a new generation high-speed planter, delivering an unmatched precision at double the speed of traditional planters. No-till, min-till or conventional tillage – Tempo performs exceptionally in all conditions. The crops gets the best start possible which results in an even emergence.
Tempo V has an open frame design making it easy to adjust the row spacing to suit numerous seed types grown on the farm. The result is increased productivity and lower costs.
As an example you could start the season by planting sugar beet at 500mm row spacing, followed by maize at 750mm row spacing, and finally in the autumn plant oilseed rape at 450mm row spacing.
The unique WideLining system, makes the Tempo V planter able to hydraulically adjusts the row spacing of 4 row units on the machine frame. Using WideLining, Tempo V automatically creates tire tracks for the liquid manure spreader, whilst keeping a full seeding rate over the entire forage maize field.

Tempo V can be altered from 12 rows to 8 rows in less than one hour. A row unit trolley facilitates the work and makes storage easy.
All Tempo V models are vertically folded to 3 metre transport width.
The machine is mounted on the tractors three-point linkage, making it easy to manoeuvre in the field. In the field, this results in short turning radius on headlands and convenient transport.
The front mounted fertiliser hopper, FH 2200 enables high precision combi-drilling.
The 2200 litre hopper is equipped with electric Fenix III metering system, built for high capacity and high working speeds in the field. FH 2200 integrates with the iPad-based control system Väderstad E-Control or the ISOBUS-terminal of the tractor.
By upgrading the data processing capabilities of the planter, additional features to ensure accuracy in the field are unlocked. The optional features are curve compensation, active hydraulic downforce and auto singulation.
Active sensors communicate when the machine is turning and adjust the metering output of each row unit to always ensure a consistent rate over the full Tempo planter width.
With the active hydraulic downforce system, Tempo instantly reacts to changes in soil conditions, always maintaining the set optimum row unit pressure.

With automatic motors on each row unit, seed singulation is continuously monitored and optimised. This saves time and increases the productive time in the field.
The iPad-based control system, Väderstad E-Control wirelessly delivers data about each seed that travels through the machine, including seeding quality, skips, doubles, distance in the row, and rate.
You benefit from user-friendly remote set up and calibration, as well as easy, real-time monitoring and control.
With the iPad you can upload the most recent program software which allows you to benefit from future developments.

In combination with the front hopper FH 2200, Tempo is able to combi-drill fertiliser at high speed. The high capacity fertiliser coulters maintains the high precision even at high speed.
Fertiliser kit
The hopper is easy and safe to access via a platform and its large opening improves filling time and reduces downtime in the field. The fertiliser coulters are spring-loaded and can apply a force up to 150kg, which also is sufficient when direct planting. The fertiliser can be placed according to need, both sideways and depth wise. The gauge wheel on the fertiliser coulter has two tasks - to control the depth and to reduce the soil throw from the fertiliser coulter.
The row cleaners are an option on Tempo. The task of the row cleaners is to remove crop residues, clods and stones. The demand for row cleaners is much higher when planting into no-till or when planting into fields with large amount of residues.
Floating row cleaners
Each row cleaner is mounted on a parallel linkage, enabling it to precisely follow the field surface. The working intensity is easily configured with a spring, which makes it possible to either add or relieve pressure from the row cleaner. The row cleaner is fitted with a self-cleaning rubber wheel, controlling the depth setting of the high quality spiked row cleaner disc. With optimised working angles, the floating row cleaners are designed to perfectly match the capacity and precision of the machine.
With Tempo, planting can be carried out at very high speed, without compromising exceptional precision and accuracy. Tempo is extremely accurate and the seed meter assures perfect placement for every seed. This precision is of greatest importance to maximise the yield.
16mm seed system
The 16mm seed system comes as standard. It is optimised for seeds under 15mm diameter.
22mm seed system
When planting large seeds over 15mm diameter, it is possible to equip Tempo with a 22mm seed system instead of standard 16mm.
Micro granulate kit
The micro granulate hopper holds 17 litres to match the capacity of the seed hopper. The boxes are used for either a starter fertilizer or a pesticide. The micro granulate can be placed either in the seed furrow or on the surface.
Small seeds kit
The small seeds kit for Väderstad Tempo improves results when planting small seeded crops, such as oilseed rape and sugar beet. Planting a small seeded crop at shallow planting depth requires the planter to be very gentle to the seed. When the seed is planted the closing wheel shut the seed slot and ensures perfect conditions for germination. Depending on farming requirements, the interface further allows for several industry-standard third-party closing wheel solutions.
Narrow closing wheel 25mm
The task of the closing wheel is to close the seed furrow. The force on the closing wheels can easily be adjusted, and it is also possible to set the closing wheels off-set.
Wide closing wheel 50mm
The wide closing wheel is often used when planting very shallow. This closing wheel can also be used in conventional planting when planting maize and sunflowers.
Treaded closing wheel 50mm
By reducing the risk for crusting, the treaded closing wheel optimises the conditions for shallow planted seeds, such as sugar beets and oil seed rape
Pointed closing wheel
The pointed closing wheel crumbles and breaks the sidewalls to ensure closing of the furrow. Its aggressive characteristics makes it a good fit in heavy soil conditions.
Spiked closing wheel
A spiked closing wheel is often used when direct planting. This closing wheel is also a good option when planting in heavy clay soils.
ProDrain add-on for closing wheel
The ProDrain closing wheel attachment (mounted outside the closing wheel) creates a weatherproof surface.
